Subject: Afton Trail Run Volunteer Email 2 2019
Hi All!
Thank you very much for volunteering for the 2019 / 26th annual Afton Trail Run on Saturday July 6th, 2019! This email is intended as a quick note to convey three things…
1.) We have received your volunteer signup / information, thank you!
2.) We have started preliminary volunteer assignments and they can be found HERE https://www.aftontrailrun.com/volunteer-assignments/ – if I have assigned anything incorrectly based on the times / info you provided or have assigned too much or too little, please let me know ASAP – I have been known to make a mistake or two!
3.) A final / and more comprehensive email to volunteers will be going towards the end of next week so keep your eyes peeled for that.
As usual, we are very fortunate to have such a great volunteer turnout, to say we are in “need” anywhere would be an overstatement, but if you know someone who has been talking about signing up to volunteer that has not done so, please ask them to do so ASAP.
Finally, I want to give everyone a heads up about some parking changes this year, please review THIS https://www.aftontrailrun.com/2019-afton-trail-run-parking-plan-all-runners-must-read/. Volunteers WILL be able to park in the Afton State Park parking lots and those working Aid Station 1/2 and Aid Station 5 will still park near their aid station per usual (per the instructions under Volunteer Jobs on the website). Some of the people helping with parking will be helping later than ears past as it will be imperative to stay on top of parking this year. Those volunteers will receive an email with additional instruction.
