• REGISTRATION FOR THE 2013 RACE WILL OPEN ON FRIDAY MARCH 15th 2012 !  REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON SATURDAY JUNE 29th OR ONCE THE FIELD LIMIT HAS BEEN MET – MORE INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND HERE.
• The 2012 Edition of the Afton Trail Run did fill up, with the combined field limit of 600 runners being met in record time – please sign up early to be sure to get a spot in the race.

25k: Moore, Lee win state trail titles

Some of you have been seeing some “prototypes” around for the last year or so and we have gotten a lot of questions.  Finally, your chance to get your hands on a few cool ATR creations.  Race morning ONLY (during packet pickup) – we will be selling full color 2012 ATR shirts – this is the full color version of the shirt that all registered runners and volunteers will be getting (you can see that version HERE) – we liked both versions so much that we decided to produce the other in a limited-edition run and sell them for you to enjoy!.  We will also have two versions of our high-quality beanie, bumper-stickers, “buff” style multi-functional head-wear and high quality 11X17 posters (frame not included) in the black and white and the color version – not just a tacky race souvenir that nobody wants hung on the wall – this is a nice piece to hang anywhere and a fun reminder of the race and the spirit of the Afton Trail Run.  We will also selling previous years shirts – we always get asked if we have any to sell – today, one day… is your chance (limited quantities produced for this).  Cash or check only please – Enjoy!

Custom race numbers this year – register by Thursday June 21st at 5PM if you would like your name on your number!  Registrants after this date will not have their name on their bib / race number – another cool keepsake from the race.

The Afton Trail Run hosts two races simultaneously, the Afton Trail Run 50KM Trail Race (starts at 6:30 AM Saturday) and the Afton Trail Run 25KM Trail Race (starts at 7:30 AM Saturday).  Each distance will have its own unique race number (unique color and number series) so runners can be easily identified by race officials, volunteers, spectators and other runners.  We ask that all competitors wear their number on the front of their body on their outer-most layer at all times.  Runners will be tracked coming into and out of each aid station.  If we cannot see your number, we cannot track you or take your finishing time and if we cannot do that, you will be disqualified and will not earn an official finish.
